Born in Brittany, Agnès Postec studied at the National Music School in Brest, then the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris, where she was unanimously awarded her concert diploma summa cum laude. She then entered the National Paris Conservatory (CNSM) and after brilliant studies was awarded first price in Aldo Ciccolini's and Bruno Rigutto's class. Admitted to the advanced course at Ferenc Liszt Academy in Budapest (1988-1990), she studied the piano and chamber music with György Kurtag, Ferenc Rados and Kornel Zempleny. Since then Agnès Postec has given many concerts, in her native France and elsewhere, as a soloist and chamber musician. She has taken part in various recordings for Pierre Verany/Arion, wich have been most favourably received by the critics.
Very interested by pedagogie (titulaire du C.A., diplôme de pédagogie du CNSMD de Paris avec mention très bien), Agnès Postec is piano professor at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Rennes and sits on the jury for various competitions.
She has taught also at the International Summer School of Mende and Musicalta of Rouffach (Alsace) and participated at several Erasmus exchanges in Italy and Germany.
Since 2011, Agnès Postec is professor at “Pôle d'Enseignement Supérieur Spectacle Vivant de Bretagne - Pays de la Loire”.
