Attached to a demanding and diverse musical practice, Nicolas Mallarte pursued an outstanding education at the CNSMD of Paris. He won several prizes in various international competitions: Pinerollo (2nd prize), Parkhouse Award London (finalist), Viotti (3rd prize), after which he was invited to partake in several major musical events: Cité de la Musique, Théâtre des Champs Elysées, Grand Théâtre de Bordeaux, Grand Théâtre de Tours, Grange de Meslay, Weber Hall (Minnesota), rencontres musicales de la Prée, Festival des Arcs, Moments Musicaux de Touraine, Festival de la Côte-saint-André, Festival en Vallée d'Olt, Musique en Sorbonne, Musical week in Cacerès (Espagne). He also appeared in Italy, Switzerland, Greece, Spain, Germany, Austrich, USA...

More than anything, Nicolas Mallarte likes to share music. He is particularly esteemed for his talent in chamber music. Among his partners: Amaury Coeytaux, Sarah Nemtanu, David Guerrier, Nicolas Baldeyrou, Michel Michalakakos, François Méreaux, David Gaillard, Pierre Fouchenneret, Xavier Gagnepain, François Salques, Thomas Duran, Vincent Pasquier, Rosamonde Quartett, Céline Nessi, Laurent Lefèvre, Jacques Tys, Jérôme Voisin, Pascal Rophé... As a soloist, he performs with the Orchestre des Pays de Savoie, the Orchestre Ostinato.

Multifaceted musician, he creates arrangements of shows: "Touches à Touches", directed by Jean Manifacier, he records improvised music for various films and documentaries ("Abysses", "Vieillesse Ennemie"), participates in performances around jazz (Loches en Jazz Festival).

Enthusiastic about passing on his knowledge, he regards pedagogy as a tool for thinking and growing. He teaches piano and chamber music at the CRR de Boulogne-Billancourt since 2003.
