Hiroko Fukui studies piano and music pedagogy at Midori Kataoka and Motonari Iguchi in Japan, graduated with distinction.
After following the teaching of Lothar Broddack at the University of Arts Berlin (now University of the Arts), she studied musicology at the Technical University of Berlin.
She completed her apprenticeship with Maria Curcio in London as well as Tatyana Nikolaev, Hans Leygraf and Georg Sava.
In 1993 and 1994 she was invited as a professor at the Osnabrück University of Music.
Since 1995, she has focused mainly on preparation for exams and competitions. Many of his students are winners of international competitions (Japan, Korea, Taiwan, China, Europa).
Hiroko Fukui also teaches master classes in Japan, Taiwan and China. She is also regularly invited as a jury member for international competitions.
As a concert artist, she performs in recital and chamber music in Europe and Asia.
She is currently lecturer at the music school "Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach" and at the Hanns Eisler Music University in Berlin.
Since 2014 she is visiting professor at Xiamen University in China.
