Décrit par le Gramophone Magazine comme "virtuose de puissance et de poésie", Eldar Nebolsin est considéré comme l'un des musiciens les plus polyvalents et les plus intéressants de sa génération.
Ancien élève du pianiste russe Dmitri Bashkirov, Eldar enregistre actuellement pour le label Naxos. Son premier album, Preludes op 23 and 32 de Rachmaninov, a remporté les éloges de ClassicsAujourd'hui : "proche de l’étourdissement… Nebolsin propose un voyage vraiment exceptionnelle dans la musique de Rachmaninov", alors que son deuxième album sorti l'année suivante, Liszt Piano Concertos et Totentanz avec le Liverpool Philharmonic et Vasily Petrenko, a remporté la s'est placé en tête sur la plateforme numérique Bestseller de Naxos pendant six mois consécutifs.
Les albums suivants chez Naxos ont été Les Variations of Nursery de Ernst von Dohnanyi, avec le Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra et JoAnn Falletta, l’œuvre complète de Chopin pour piano et orchestre avec le Warsaw Philharmonic et Antoni Wit, un album solo d'oeuvres de Schubert, et les concertos pour piano de Lopes-Graça avec Orquestra Sinfonica do Porto et Matthias Bamert.
Les trois quatuors pour piano de Brahms, couplés au piano Quartet de Mahler, ont été suivis par deux albums publiés par Naxos en collaboration avec Spectrum Concerts Berlin - albums de Arensky et Sculhoff’s Chamber Works. Le Concerto pour piano n°2 de Tchaïkovski et la Fantaisie de Concert avec l’Orchestre symphonique de Nouvelle-Zélande et Michael Stern a reçu été salué par les critiques qui l'ont déclaré version définitive de ce répertoire.
Plus récemment IBS Classical a publié sa collaboration avec le violoncelliste Asier Polo, les Sonates pour violoncelle de Brahms. Ses enregistrements précédents comprennent deux albums pour Decca - une œuvre solo de Chopin et Liszt, et le Concerto de Chopin avec le Deutsches Symphonie Orchester Berlin et Vladimir Ashkenazy.
Parmi les engagements les plus récents d’Eldar Nebolsin, on compte les invitations du Buffalo Philharmonic orchestra, du Royal Liverpool Philharmonic orchestra, ses débuts avec le Kansas City Symphony à Helsinki, avec le Turku Philharmonics orchestra, le New Zealand symphonic orchestra, ainsi qu'une soirée entièrement consacrée à Liszt à Lisbonne avec Jaime Martin.
Il poursuit également son parcours de chambriste avec Janine Jansen & Friends à Utrecht et Spectrum Concerts à la Philharmonie de Berlin.
Il a récemment effectué une tournée en récital au Canada et aux Etats-Unis avec l'altiste Maxim Rysanov, et joué avec le MDR Symphony Orchestra et Jun Mäarkl au Gewandhaus de Leipzig, avant de donner le 2e Concerto de Liszt en tournée à travers l’Espagne avec l’Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Séville.
Eldar Nebolsin se produit également régulièrement avec le Royal Philharmonic Orchestra de Londres, la plupart et partage la scène avec Josep Caballé-Domenech au Konzerthaus de Berlin, à Budapest, Winterthur, Brisbane et à Taiwan.
En musique de chambre, il collabore avec des artistes internationaux tels que Julian Rachlin, Maxim Rysanov, Alexey Ogrintchouk, Ilya Grintgolts ou Gustav Rivinius. Il a récemment jour avec le Leipziger Streichquartett, Barnabas Kelemen, Miklos Perennyi, Alexander Melnikov et Wolfgang Emmanuel Schmidt.
En 2005, Eldar Nebolsin reçoit à l’unanimité le Prix Sviatoslav Richter du 1er Concours international de piano à Moscou où il a également été lauréat du Prix spécial pour la meilleure interprétation d'un concerto classique.
Pendant la saison 09/010, il a été invité en résidence pour Musis Sacrum à Arnhem.
Les derniers concerts d'Eldar Nebolsin l’ont amené sur les scènes internatioales de l'Orchestre Philharmonique de New York, du Chicago Symphony Orchestra, du Deutsches Symphonie Orchester, de l'Orchestre de chambre de Vienne, de l'Orchestre de Paris, de la Fondation Gulbenkian Orchestra, de l'Orchestre Sainte Cécile à Rome, du Metropolitan Orchestra de Tokyo, de l'Orchestre symphonique de Sydney, de l'Orchestre philharmonique de Saint-Pétersbourg et de l'Orchestre Philharmonique de Moscou avec des chefs exceptionnels tels que Mstislav Rostropovich, Ricardo Chailly, Yuri Temirkanov, Leonard Slatkin, Charles Dutoit, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Vasili Petrenko, Nikolaj Alexeev, Vladimir Spivakov ou Lawrence Foster, entre autres.
Depuis 2012, Eldar Nebolsin est professeur de piano au Hanns Eisler Musik Hochschule de Berlin où il vit actuellement. Il a auparavant vécu en Espagne et a enseigné durant onze ans à la faculté de l'Institut international de musique de chambre à Madridaux côtés de Ralf Gothoni. Il s'y rend régulièrement en masterclass de piano ou de musique de chambre.

Described by the Gramophone Magazine as “virtuoso of power and poetry”, Eldar Nebolsin is considered one of the most versatile and interesting musicians of his generation.
A former student of renowned Russian pianist and teacher Dmitri Bashkirov, Eldar currently records for the Naxos label. His debut album, Rachmaninov’s Preludes op 23 and 32 earned from ClassicsToday the praise “close to stunning … Nebolsin’s is a truly exceptional excursion into the music of Rachmaninov “, while his second album released the following year, both Liszt Piano Concertos and Totentanz with the Liverpool Philharmonic and Vasily Petrenko, earned top place on Naxos’ Bestseller’s Digital Platform for six consecutive months.

Some of Eldar’s more recent engagements are re-invitations to the Buffalo and Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestras, his debuts with the Kansas City Symphony, Helsinki and Turku Philharmonics and New Zealand Symphony Orchestras, an all-Liszt evening in Lisbon with Jaime Martin, continuing chamber collaborations with Janine Jansen and Friends in Utrecht and with Spectrum Concerts at the Philharmonie, Berlin, a recital tour in Canada and USA with Eldar’s frequent partner, Maxim Rysanov, viola, as well as his debut with MDR Symphony Orchestra and Jun Mäarkl at the Gewandhaus Leipzig, and a tour throughout Spain performing Liszt’s 2nd Piano concerto with the Royal Seville Philharmonic Orchestra. Eldar also returns regularly to perform with London’s Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, most recently sharing the stage with Josep Caballé-Domenech, while he enjoyed debuts in both recital and concerto repertoire in Berlin’s Konzerthaus, in Budapest, Winterthur, Brisbane, and in Taiwan.
In the Chamber Music field, Eldar collobarates with some of the world’s most renowned musicians such Julian Rachlin, Maxim Rysanov, Alexey Ogrintchouk, Ilya Grintgolts or Gustav Rivinius. In 2005 Eldar Nebolsin was unanimously awarded the Sviatoslav Richter Prize in the 1st edition of the International Piano Competition in Moscow where he was also honored with the special Award for the best Classical Concerto performance. During the 09/010 season Eldar enjoyed the honor of being Artist in Residence for Musis Sacrum in Arnhem.
Eldar’s earlier international performances have taken him to the stages of some of the most famous orchestras of the world – New York Philharmonic Orchestra, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Deutsches Symphonie Orchester, Vienna Chamber Orchestra, Orchestre de Paris, Gulbenkian Foundation Orchestra, Orchestra di Santa Cecilia in Rome, Tokyo Metropolitan Orchestra, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Sankt Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra and Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra with outstanding conductors such as Mstislav Rostropovich, Ricardo Chally, Yuri Temirkanov, Leonard Slatkin, Charles Dutoit, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Vasili Petrenko, Nikolaj Alexeev, Vladimir Spivakov or Lawrence Foster amongst many others.
From 2012 Eldar has held the position of Professor of Piano at the Hanns Eisler Musik Hochschule, Berlin where he now lives. He previously lived in Spain and for the last 11 years held a place on the faculty of the International Institute of Chamber Music in Madrid teaching alongside Ralf Gothoni where he regularly presents master classes both in piano solo repertoire and chamber music.
