Skerdjano Keraj a reçu ses premiers cours de violon au "Liceu Artistik Jordan Misja", un pensionnat musical pour enfants de grand talent à Tirana, à l'âge de six ans. Après avoir passé les derniers examens artistiques dans les matières violon et musique de chambre avec le professeur Andreas Reiner, il a réussi l'examen de concert avec le professeur Werner Scholz à Berlin également avec les honneurs.
Il est u.a. Lauréat du Prix Folkwang pour la musique 2001 et du Concours international de musique de chambre de Thessalonique. Il a été violon solo du Sinfonieorchester Aachen et du Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern et violon solo invité du Stuttgarter Philharmoniker, du WDR-Rundfunkorchester, du Düsseldorfer Sinfoniker, du SWR Stuttgart et de nombreux autres orchestres.
En tant que soliste, musicien de chambre et violon solo, il a effectué des tournées en Italie, en France, en Suisse, en Espagne, en Grèce, au Danemark, aux Pays-Bas, en Belgique, au Japon et dans sa patrie, l'Albanie.
Depuis le semestre d'hiver 2008/09, il enseigne le violon et la littérature orchestrale à l'HfMT Cologne / Aachen; depuis octobre en tant que professeur. En outre, il est membre du jury du concours international de violon Queen Sophie Charlotte à Mirow.
Skerdjano Keraj received his first violin lessons at the "Liceu Artistik Jordan Misja", a music boarding school for highly talented children in Tirana, at the age of six. After passing the final artistic examinations in the subjects violin and chamber music with Prof. Andreas Reiner, he passed the concert exam with Prof. Werner Scholz in Berlin also with honors.
He is u.a. Winner of the Folkwang Prize for Music 2001 and the International Chamber Music Competition in Thessaloniki. He was permanent concertmaster of the Sinfonieorchester Aachen and the Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern and guest concertmaster with the Stuttgarter Philharmoniker, the WDR-Rundfunkorchester, the Düsseldorfer Sinfoniker, the SWR Stuttgart and numerous other orchestras.
As a soloist, chamber musician and concertmaster, he toured Italy, France, Switzerland, Spain, Greece, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, Japan and not least his homeland Albania.
Since the winter semester 2008/09 he teaches violin and orchestral literature at the HfMT Cologne / Aachen; since October as a professor. In addition, he is a jury member of the international violin competition Queen Sophie Charlotte in Mirow.
