Le pianiste Martin Klett transcende les frontières avec sa musicalité sans effort. Avec autant d'engagement et de raffinement, il interprète des concertos pour piano classique et des récitals jazzy avec le partenaire du duo Sebastian Manz. La presse salue la «touche cultivée et fougueuse» (Crescendo) et la «technique suave» (Piano News) de son album Rachmaninov et sa «passion, facilité et précision» (Rheinpfalz) dans les programmes de tango avec le Cuarteto SolTango.
Cette diversité n'apparaît pas seulement sur scène mais aussi dans sa discographie. Avec la sortie de «Lamento» en 2019, il comprend dix CD - deux albums solos, cinq enregistrements de musique de chambre et trois sorties avec le Cuarteto SolTango. Des enregistrements en direct réguliers et des interviews témoignent du vif intérêt des radiodiffuseurs pour l’œuvre artistique de Martin Klett.
2008 a été une année importante pour Martin Klett, lorsqu'il a remporté à la fois le Concours international Johannes Brahms en tant que soliste et le Concours de musique allemand en tant que partenaire duo. Depuis, il s'est fait un nom en tant que pianiste de concert dans des festivals internationaux en Europe et au-delà. Il joue régulièrement avec des lauréats des prix ARD et ECHO, des maîtres de concert d'orchestres renommés et des professeurs d'université.
Le natif de Hambourg, 32 ans, est issu d'une famille de musiciens qui a soutenu sa curiosité pour diverses formes d'expression dans la jeunesse - pour la composition et l'arrangement en plus du piano. Il a pu développer sa personnalité artistique avec son mentor de longue date, le professeur Konrad Elser au Conservatoire de musique de Lübeck et plus tard à l'Université des Arts de Berlin. Il enseigne maintenant au Conservatoire Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy de Leipzig et au Conservatoire de Musique Detmold.
Sa passion pour la danse tango a donné à Martin Klett un aperçu profond de la musique de ce patrimoine culturel mondial immatériel. Aujourd'hui, il intègre souvent la musique de tango dans ses programmes de concerts. Avec son Cuarteto SolTango, fondé en 2008, il apporte de nouvelles impulsions aux plateformes de musique de chambre et aux chaînes de radio.
Les temps forts actuels incluent la première apparition de Martin Klett au Konzerthaus de Vienne, une réinvitation au Gasteig Munich ainsi que des premières collaborations avec Julian Steckel, Tanja Tetzlaff, Chiara Enderle et l'actrice Johanna Wokalek. Les projets futurs incluent un enregistrement avec Cuarteto SolTango et le chanteur argentin Leonel Capitano pour la radio bavaroise à l'été 2020.
The pianist Martin Klett transcends borders with his effortless musicianship. With equal commitment and refinement, he performs classical piano concertos and jazzy recitals with duo partner Sebastian Manz. The press lauds the “cultivated, spirited touch” (Crescendo) and “suave technique” (Piano News) of his Rachmaninoff album and his “passion, ease and precision” (Rheinpfalz) in tango programmes with the Cuarteto SolTango.
This diversity is not only apparent on stage but also in his discography. With the release of “Lamento” in 2019, this comprises ten CDs – two solo albums, five chamber music recordings and three releases with the Cuarteto SolTango. Regular live recordings and interviews attest to a vivid interest from broadcasters in Martin Klett’s artistic oeuvre.
2008 was an important year for Martin Klett, when he won both the Johannes Brahms International Competition as a soloist and the German Music Competition as a duo partner. Since then he has made a name for himself as a concert pianist at international festivals in Europe and beyond. He plays regularly with ARD and ECHO award winners, concert masters from renowned orchestras and university professors.
The 32-year-old Hamburg native hails from musical family that supported his curiosity for various forms of expression in young years – for composing and arranging in addition to piano. He was able to further develop his artistic personality with his long-time mentor Prof. Konrad Elser at the Lübeck Conservatory of Music and later at the University of the Arts in Berlin. He now teaches at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Conservatory in Leipzig and at the Detmold Conservatory of Music.
His passion for tango dancing has given Martin Klett deep insight into the music of this intangible world cultural heritage. He often incorporates tango music into his concert programmes today. With his Cuarteto SolTango, founded in 2008, he brings fresh new impulses to chamber music platforms and radio channels.
Current highlights include Martin Klett’s first appearance at the Konzerthaus Vienna, and a reinvitation to the Gasteig Munich as well as debut collaborations with Julian Steckel, Tanja Tetzlaff, Chiara Enderle and actress Johanna Wokalek. Future plans include a recording with Cuarteto SolTango and Argentine singer Leonel Capitano for Bavarian Radio in summer 2020.
